Red Wolf Sanctuary

Scouts will benefit by creating a long-lasting project that will be enjoyed by thousands of wildlife supporters!  Not only will their project be viewed and/or utilized by everyone who visits the Sanctuary, but they will be benefiting native wildlife and habitats as well!  This is no ordinary project...

Red Wolf Sanctuary staff and volunteers will encourage scouts through every step of the process, from advising on project designs and construction, assisting on the project write-up for presentation to the review board, and supporting the scout throughout the process.

A list of current project needs, in order of importance, include:

1. A small shelter for guests to gather in before a tour or event.

2. Picnic tables for guests to sit at.

3. Signage informing guests where to park, where to wait for a tour, etc.

4. Flower boxes to beautify the main building and grounds.

5. Bird boxes designed for various species (Red Wolf Sanctuary has designs to share).

6. Raccoon-proof recycling and trash receptacle to place near a small shelter.

7. A flagpole area to create an impactful environment for guests.

8. Habitat enhancement - removing invasive species, planting native species, creating brush piles, etc.

9. Re-doing garden areas with native plants.
